With the scientific-technical progress of the society,science and technology changes with each passing day.People demand for the information processing,the information transmission and the information exchange increases.With the improvement of matching accuracy and speed,its application scenario is widening.On this background,research on image matching and its system implementation becomes significant.The development of multi-core DSP technology makes the processor's operation performance further improving.Also it provides reliable platform for algorithm parallelization.Centering on the hardware design of multi-core DSP TMS320C6678's image processing platform,the thesis researched the component of the hardware of the multi-core and the key technologies to realize image matching.Firstly,the paper introduced the research background of image matching technology on multi-core and the development situation at home and abroad.Next,the paper briefly introduced the basic knowledge of image matching,including the classification of the image matching technology,the implementation process of image matching algorithm,and several classic image matching algorithms.The article mainly discussed the basic design principle of the image processing system.Next,the paper discussed the design requirements of image processing system.Also,the thesis introduced the improved normalized image matching algorithm implemented on the experimental platform.At this part,the article mainly introduced the functional requirements of the platform,the structure selection,the performance requirement and the input/output bandwidth requirements.Next,the article detailed introduced the design details of image matching platform,including the main chip selection,the design of FPGA hardware circuit,the design of multi-core DSP hardware circuit,the design of FPGA software,the design of DSP software and so on.The thesis also introduced the experimental results of this subject.At last,the article summarized the paper's main work and introduced the research task in the future.
