HDMI is a digital video and sound high-speed transmission interface, which is widely used in various electronic devices. At present, the self-sufficiency rate of related HDMI control chips in China is relatively low,and with the scaling of process technique, more and more traditional analog circuit modules are replaced by digital circuits with the same function in recent years.Based on the above two current conditions, this thesis proposes a HDMI interface transceiver after in-depth research on Serdes system and HDMI interface protocol. The specific research content is as follows:A low-power all-digital phase-locked loop is designed for HDMI high-speed interface application. An improved structure is proposed to efficiently decreases the chip area and power consumption. The controller part uses a two-stage adjustment structure to tune the digital controlled oscillator with high precision.A transceiver circuit is designed for HDMI high-speed interface application. The transmitter uses a half-rate structure to make the circuit timing easier to meet. What's more, the clock and data recovery part in receiver applies the phase-interpolator based structure, most parts of which are designed in digital flow that efficiently decreases the chip area.Meanwhile,a pipelined phase-interpolator is adopted and improved here to efficiently enhance the linearity and accuracy of the interpolation.Based on the key points of the layout design in high-speed interface circuit, the layout design of the entire chip has been completed and the post-simulation as well.According to the simulation results, the whole system has met the requirements. The chip is fabricated with SMIC 55 nm technology. It has been taped out and packaged.
