An Analysis Of The Development Status And Trend Of New Physical Bookstores On University Campuses

In the 1980 s and 1990 s,the campus bookstore was an important cultural position in colleges and universities.However,since the beginning of the new century,with the rise of online bookstores,the rise of physical operating costs and the changes in reading habits,the development of campus bookstores has encountered many practical difficulties.The news of the closure and closure of campus bookstores everywhere has been endless.The campus bookstore has gradually withdrawn from the "cultural territory" of colleges and universities.Due to the impact of the outside world,physical bookstores have to re-examine the background of the development of the industry,change the business perspective,and respond to the test through the transformation and upgrading of ideas and models.The transformation and development of the physical bookstores on campus have ushered in new challenges.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that in order to meet the new expectations of the people for a better life,they must provide rich spiritual food.Focusing on cultivating the newcomers of the era who are in charge of national rejuvenation,advocating reading for all,returning more physical bookstores to the campus,and meeting the growing and diverse cultural needs of college students is also the meaning of the question.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the development of new college campus bookstores in the new era.This article takes the Wuhan area as an example to summarize and sort out the development status and trendsof new college campus bookstores,in order to provide a valuable reference for the future development direction of college campus bookstores in China.This article takes the development of a new college campus bookstore as the research object.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background,research status and significance,research methods and innovations of the topic,and then summarizes the significance and value of building university campus physical bookstore for university and society and the development course of university campus bookstore,analyzes the dilemma faced by the traditional campus bookstore and the emerging form of the new campus bookstore.Subsequently,taking Wuhan as an example,the paper analyzes the development background of campus bookstores in Wuhan from three aspects: the government's attention,the audience and the urban atmosphere.Based on the field survey and questionnaire,this paper gives a basic description of the current situation of the new campus bookstore in Wuhan.And it also summarizes the current development trend of the new campus physical bookstore in Wuhan in terms of cultural experience,construction mode and business format,and the existing problems of the new campus physical bookstore in Wuhan.Based on this,the paper puts forward some relevant strategies for the development of college campus bookstore,in order to provide a valuable reference for the future development of campus bookstores in colleges and universities in China.
