With the rapid development of wireless communication networks,the types of communication networks are also increasing.The public networks that rely on fixed base stations as well as centralized control and management support have been unable to meet the needs of various communication scenarios,especially under complex circumstances.For emergency communications,in the event of a sudden natural disaster or a sudden dangerous accident,a variety of emergency communications means is a communication guarantee for rescue.When the public network environment is destroyed,establishing a wireless self-organizing network is an effective method.The emergency communication system based on the wireless ad hoc network is a special network communication system with rapid networking and strong mobility that enables front-line rescuers to communicate in a timely manner and implement efficient rescue.This thesis combines the characteristics and requirements of the emergency communication system to design a handheld radio based on wireless ad hoc network.In order to meet the use scenarios of mobile terminals in emergency communications,the goal of the designed handheld radio station is miniaturization and low power consumption.This thesis designs a miniaturized,low power consumption ad hoc network handheld radio aiming at the background of emergency communication,from the perspective of hardware platform and based on the structure of wireless ad hoc network.In respect to the design process,firstly the functional requirements and wireless ad hoc network architecture of the designed handheld radio station are determined out of the analysis of the needs of the entire project.At the same time,the overall design and analysis of the design ideas of the entire hardware platform module composition are analyzed.With the mentioned process,the innovation of this design is proposed,and the pure FPGA baseband processing architecture is used to replace the traditional radio station's GPP+DSP+FPGA architecture,meanwhile a comparative analysis is performed.After determining the overall hardware plan,considering the performance index requirements set by the radio,the key device selection for each module of the radio,as well as perform feasibility analysis and demonstration on the selected device are conducted.Then,taking into account the technical principles of the selected device and the study of the peripheral circuit of the device,the schematic circuit analysis and design of each module of the radio station are carried out.After the schematic design is completed,the PCB board is incorporated,the stacking,layout,and routing design are carried out.The PCB board is assembled into a radio prototype.Finally,the radio prototype is tested for performance.The test results show that the designed handheld radio meets the hardware specifications of the emergency communication system and is able to respond to the corresponding working environment.
