Generally, oil fileds are distributed in the wild,dispersedly and unwatchedly. Thecircumstances they are located in are harsh. The running of oil pumping machines is affectedby the natural or anthropogenic factors. To ensure oil-producing work in a long-term normalstatus, it is needed to do regular inspection for the producing wells.The Three-phase motor’spower parameters of the producing well is the decisive basis to judge whether the pumpingunit is in normal operation or not. The traditional inspection methods is Implemented in thismanner: the workers drive to the worksite of the wells, then measure and recorde theparameters of oil well. There are many disadvantages in the traditional methods, first, for theworking environment in the field, the job is influenced by natural factors such as weathereasily, and sometimes it makes the inspection work harder by the wind, rain, snow and lowtemperature environment. Second, the operation of instruments is relatively cumbersome, andit is needed to unload and bring back the instruments after measurement to prevent the loss ofthe instruments. It makes the staff labor hard and low efficient. Third, the traditional recordway by using pen and paper does not facilitate the work such like to input storage and processthe data.This paper put forward a new solution suitable for well-inspection by a hand-heldwireless data acquisition terminal. This solution includes three parts: data collector on thespot, hand-held wireless terminal and PC data processing software. The data collector werefixed on the pumping machine, it is Responsible for collecting the parameters of three-phasemotor on oil pumping machine, the handheld terminal can communicate with the datacollector wirelessly. during the inspection working, when the workers drived to the spot, theycan get the collected data and store them to the sd card by the communication between thehandheld terminal and the data collector, the procedure is simple and fast, it can be done bythe worker on board, it enhances the work environment. Improve the efficiency of inspectionoperation. After the work has been done, the worker can use the pc software to read the datain the SD card, then gather and process them, instead of recording them by manually.It uses the STM32F103microprocessor based on the Cortex-M3kernel as the core for thehand-held wireless terminal and the data collector. The wireless communication moduledesigned with the nRF905Monolithic RF chip is used to realize the wirelesscommunication, the Hand-held terminal Equipped with a keyboard and an LCD screen, andhas a friendly user interface, By the transplantation of FATFS file system, the data can bestored in SD card in text format.the PC software are designed by the VC++,it can read thedata in the sd card and Converts them to the excel format.From the actual test situation, the designing solution for the oil well inspection hand-heldterminal can run stably and reliably, it can gather the data within100meters, the PC software is easy to use. The performance and effect of solution are satisfying, it can meet the demandfor collecting the data when doing the oil well-inspecting work.
