If you compare China to a person,the countryside is the bloodline of this person.Only by understanding the countryside can we understand China.China is a big agricultural country,and agricultural development is the foundation.As a social group that accounts for about half of the rural population,rural women shoulder the dual tasks of “waiters” and “producers” in agriculture.Play an important role in the process.In recent years,under the dual background of building a well-off society in an all-round way and the feminization of agriculture,coupled with the great importance the country attaches to rural areas,rural women have received unprecedented attention in academia.But in contrast,there are relatively few studies focusing on its media image,and this media image reflects to a certain extent that society pays less attention to the true survival status of the group,and can also reflect the political,economic,and cultural development of the entire rural area.It is therefore worth the attention of the news media.The China Women 's Daily,a national women 's newspaper with female readers as the main audience,has given rural women enduring support and a large number of reports since its inception.These rural women 's reports are important for improving the status of women and promoting equality between men and women effect.Examining the rural women 's reports in the China Women 's News can not only enrich and expand the existing image of rural women,but also give a glimpse of the role of rural women in the process of rural modernization.The shortcomings implied by China Women 's News in rural women 's reports can provide some meticulous thinking for China Women 's News and other women 's newspapers in future rural women 's reports.This article takes China Women's Daily's report on rural women in the process of building a moderately prosperous society from 2003 to 2019 as the research object,and selects 546 reports related to rural women.Using the framework theory,it selects from the number of reports and the genre of reports.Quantitative analysis was conducted on the subject of the report to outline the overall characteristics of the report on rural women in the newspaper.On this basis,the text analysis method was used to make a detailed interpretation of the rural women's reports in the newspaper,and the four rural women's images created by the newspapers were summarized.One is the rural women who are self-reliant and self-reliant.Brave people who safeguard rights and interests,and initiative in village affairs management;Second,rural women with noble character,mainly including selfless and kind,devotees and hard-working,honest and trustworthy people;third,rural women who are cared for;fourth,facing difficulties Rural women mainly include two types: those who have been abused and those who have a difficult life.At the same time,starting from the gender theory,it was found that although the China Women's News is focusing on shaping gender equality,there are also individual reports that reveal gender discrimination.In the past ten years of reporting,rural women's reports are generally stable,but they also show subtle changes,which are mainly reflected in the main body of the report,the subject of the report,the concept of getting rich,and the state of life.This is mainly a change from the real environment.It is related to rural women's own factors,the guiding role of active policies,and the guidance of the media's purpose of running newspapers.After combing and analyzing the report samples,it was found that the newspapers reported the problems of patterning,lack of in-depth reports,and “face” of positive characters when reporting the image of rural women.Suggestions for social reality.
