Research On The Female Image In Rural Reports Of China Women's News

Since China Women's News is a newspaper with social nature,ideological content and comprehensive topic,the female image it reports is of great significance to academical research.Based on related news reports of China Women's News selected by sampling method,this article analyzes on the formation of rural female image in China,tries to reveal the relationship between image formation,realistic society and development of times.According to analysis on samples,sampled reports of China Women's Newswhich involve rural female are mainly distributed in sections including comprehensive news,report of female,new countryside and new women,etc.In terms of annual amount,these sampled reports are stable and balanced.Their major style is working dispatches of reporting poverty alleviation performance and character dispatches of rural female.Therefore,"poverty alleviation and support"reveals the working and life condition of rural female,which ranks the first in topic subjects.Based on analysis of character image formation,this article finds the rural female character in sampled reports of China Women's News can be divided into ten categories,where the character of "help and helper" ranks the first.In terms of character age group,this newspaper focuses more on young and middle-aged women who play a positive role in rural construction and development,while it pays less attention to the old.According to further research,rural female image formed by China Women's News can be classified into three major categories,namely "female as her power","female in self-consciousness awakening",and "helpless female in dilemma".Therefore,this article proposes several suggestions about media report and better forming the media image of female based on feminism and empirical analysis mentioned above.
