The Research On Communicativeness Of Urban Short Video

The all-embracing city inspires different views of the city.Different ideas constructs different urban models and visions.However,the essential proposition that cities exist by communication is often forgotten.The role of communication is not obvious in the city,and the transformation of physical space by media is not valued.Nowadays,the rise of the network society and the urbanization are constantly converging.Cyberspace also integrates with physical cities.Scholars need to respond to questions such as how media shape urban communication and how to change the relationship between cities and people.the short video with both communication power and urban attribute has become an important entrance.This paper adopts the method of text analysis,supplemented by content analysis,taking the urban short video of Suzhou in Douyin and its comments as the research object,and analyzes the communicativeness of urban short video with some theories such as urban culture research and urban communication.It finds that the urban short video can become the public infrastructure to soften the hard boundary in the era of mass media.It can also stimulate the communication vitality with "emotion expression--emotion activation" and"knowledge introduction--surplus supplement".At the same time,it expands the city communication entrance by connecting.People can realize the urban memory and identity in the way of virtual presence.The urban image is no longer "the city in the concept",but"the living city" for the citizen,the rambler and the manager.However,media power is based on economics.Therefore,this communicativeness is probably a false image constructed by platform,with the purpose of absorbing city into the digital capital.
