An Analysis Of The Post-90s' Alone Together On Social Network

American social psychologist Sherry Turkle mentioned in her book Alone Together that when family gatherings,relatives and friends are around,and people are still playing with mobile phones,it seems that they have forgotten the purpose of getting along with each other.The real connection between people fails,but the state of being alone together becomes a new situation for modern people to get along with.Sherry Turkle called this phenomenon "Alone Together".The discovery of the social phenomenon of "Alone Together" provides a new perspective and thinking for us to study the influence and change of social media on people.In order to explore the performance and causes of the phenomenon of the post-90s' Alone Together on social network,this study mainly adopts the interview method in the qualitative research.In the selection of research objects,this study mainly adopts the methods of the Maximum difference sampling in the Purposeful sampling and the "snowball" sampling,selects 60 people in the post-90s' social network group,and conduct in-depth interviews with them.Firstly,the text expounds the research object of "post-90s",and briefly defines the concept of "Alone Together on social network".Secondly,according to the data of questionnaire and in-depth interview,the phenomenon of post-90s' Alone Together on social network is demonstrated.This paper briefly expounds the emergence and formation of Alone Together.The emergence and formation of Alone Together can be roughly divided into three periods: the industrial revolution era,the mass media era and the network media era.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of Alone Together on social network,this paper draws the conclusion that the post-90 s generally feel that their psychological distance from others is getting farther and farther,and their relationship with others is getting colder and colder.This paper expounds the external manifestation of the phenomenon of Alone Together on social network,mainly including(1)new social behavior: daily performance,emotional Carnival(2)new group appearance: container person,empty nest youth(3)new network culture: "mourning" culture,tree hole culture,etc.Then,through the in-depth analysis of the interview data of the post-90 s respondents,it is found that the main factors that cause their Alone Together include theboundary of network technology,the prevalence of consumerism,the change of social structure,the influence of the original family and the survival plight of individuals.At the end of the paper,the author points out that the phenomenon of post-90s' Alone Together on social network will lead to alienation problems such as alienation of intimate relationship,weakening of social ability and failure of forming independent personality,and puts forward corresponding suggestions on how to alleviate or surpass the alienation of post-90s' Alone Together on social network,mainly including.(1)regaining conversation: establishing intimate relationship with others.(2)enhancing cognition: changing subjectivity to inter-subjectivity.(3)aesthetic salvation: seeking self value and meaning in practice.
