As a representative of the Frankfurt School, Habermas’research achievement isabundant. His theory involves history, linguistics, methodology to learn, psychology,sociology, politics, communication, law, psychoanalysis and so on. Its system is grand.Habermas thought the western capitalist society gradually entered the industrial society.The old mode production should be replaced by the emerging production mode. Withthe development of technology and the progress of the society, the way of thinkingwould be changed. The communication around the people would point to the profit,and take money and enjoyment in the first place. The people ignored the spirit level ofcommunication, which led to contacts alienation. At the same time, the cultural systemof the capitalist society imprisoned in people’s minds and increased in the socialcontradictions and conflicts. In this social environment, Habeimas thought it isnecessary to build a ideal“life world”. In the world, people could understand eachother, and the communicative action became reasonable. To sum up, Habermas putforward the Theory of Communicative Action.This paper is from the Perspective of Communication, discussing the connectionbetween the theory and communication, and revealing influence and effect of theTheory of Communicative Action to the communication. The paper divides into threeparts.Part One discusses the current situation of this theory in China, revealing theresearching objective and significance. Part Two illustrates the meaning ofCommunicative Action, and explaining the connection with communication actionfrom the Discourse during the communicative, Life world, Intersubjectivity andCommunicative rationality. Part Three analyzes the connection between the Theory ofCommunicative Action and Communication, and revealing revelation of the Theory ofCommunicative Action to the communication.
