In the past two years,the fan-based idol variety show has become popular,and its audience group has become increasingly large."Fan-based" is a popular phenomenon,which has also aroused wide attention of the academic scholars.Produce 101,self-made by Tencent video,is the most popular phenomenon-oriented “fan-based” idol variety show in China so far and eleven trainees selected by the audience will make their debut in combination.The debut of this group is different from other idol groups.The opportunity of debut is entirely determined by the audiences,and each vote of them plays a decisive role in the final result.Produce 101 is broadcast and marketed on the basis of new media platforms.The audiences interact with others through a series of social media platforms,such as Weibo,WeChat groups and Douban groups to learn about and deepen their attention to variety show and the idols.Through the case study of Produce 101,this paper made a comprehensive and in-depth observation and analysis on the interaction channels,the process and results of interaction ritual chain through the qualitative research methods of participatory observation and in-depth interview,based on the Interaction Ritual Chains theory proposed by Randall Collins.This paper is based on the context,and try to analyze that the audiences can interact with the variety show and other people from through not only the Tencent video but also the various social media platforms.In the process of interaction ritual chain,the social media platform provides the audiences with the premise of "virtual in together".The audiences use symbols and barriers to set entry restrictions on outsiders.Also,the trainee character symbols and content is the user common focus and audiences have and share a common emotional experience.When interaction condition was achieved,interactive ceremony will be in the long run the conclusion of the chain,and realizing the chain run there will be many aspects of the results.First of all,emotional energy of audiences get savings and circulation during interaction.Second,groups of symbols and action inspired group solidarity.Then,the emotional energy differences caused its internal power stratification.Finally,emotional energy is interactive market returns,and stimulate the fans of the production and consumption.Compared with the interaction ritual chain of other types of variety shows,there are special features of the audiences' interaction ceremony of the “fan-based” idol variety show.First,in the process of interaction ritual chain,ceremony,audiences obtain the sense of accomplishment of cultivating idol,the moral sense of maintaining idol and the self-satisfaction of growing up with idol.Secondly,there are irrational behaviors in the interactive market of the “fan-based” idol variety show.The benefits of users do not mainly come from material rewards,but from the sense of accomplishment of "cultivating".At the same time,according to the above conclusion,the author put forward suggestions from two aspects of production and operation of the “fan-based” idol variety show.The last part of this paper made a comprehensive summary and sublimation,and put forward the deficiency of this study,based on the discussed the possible research direction of the research.First,pay more attention to the role of emotional energy in user operation and guide the positive development of interactive market.
