Acknowledgments are an integral part of a scientific paper.From the acknowledgement information,the authors can find out the funding and help they receive during the research process.These funding and help information can reflect the author's research background,research themes,and the future from another perspective.research direction.Until 2008,Thomson Reuters' Web of Science platform began to add fund acknowledgments to its records.This new information provides a new dimension for the systematic use of bibliographic data.The specific content and role of the acknowledgement information in scientific papers is a new challenge in the field of document measurement.So far,the analysis of acknowledgement information in foreign countries has only just begun.There are only a handful of domestic researches in this area.Therefore,the study of the characteristics of papers that contain acknowledgement information and the acknowledgement information in these papers have a certain practical value.This study selected ESI agricultural sciences,microbiology,and space science three dissertations from 2012 to 2016 as research objects.It was published in the SCIE and SSCI database on the Web of Science platform through the annual ESI periodical updated in May.As the search criteria,a total of 380,529 papers were obtained.Afterwards,through the self-produced Java program,the data of these papers were processed,and a total of 256,841 records of the FX field and FU field were not cleared.Then the author used Stanford University's CoreNLP natural language processing tool to perform NER on the FX field of 256841 papers.Named entity recognition screening,and finally obtained in the Acknowledgments section contains ORGANIZATION and PERSON papers,a total of 241,583 articles.The author uses a bibliometric method to statistically analyze the distribution of the output of 241,583 papers,the distribution of fund-funded institutions,the distribution of research topics,and acknowledgement information,revealing the characteristics and differences of the three discipline papers.In the research,the author found that more than 50%of papers in the field of agricultural sciences each year contain acknowledgement information during the period from 2012 to 2016,about 60%of the papers in the field of microbiology contain acknowledgement information every year,and nearly 80%of the papers in the field of space science contain acknowledgments every year.Information;With the increase in the number of field papers,the number of papers funded by fund-funding organizations has also increased.However,there are differences in the growth of the three disciplines,the largest increase in space science,followed by the increase in agricultural science,the smallest increase is microbiology;As time goes by,the research hot spots will also change.The keywords appearing in 2012 will no longer appear in 2016.Instead,they will be replaced with hot topics related to the new round of research.This phenomenon is most evident in microbiology.Followed by agricultural science,and finally by space science.The analysis of the part of acknowledgement information found that there are differences in the status of institution identification and personal name recognition.In the case of recognition of three subject names,the number of people mentioned in the space science acknowledgement is the largest,followed by microbiology,and less in agricultural science,indicating that the author The mention of the Acknowledgments staff is different because of the nature of the discipline;through the application of the tool,it is found that there are various degrees of error in the recognition of ORGANIZATION and PERSON,but PERSON recognition is more accurate than ORGANIZATION.The main conclusions of the paper are as follows.Due to the differences in disciplines,there are differences in the subject areas and research directions funded by different countries.From the sample data of the study,it was found that whether the United States,Spain or Canada,their funding is focused on the field of space science;from the research topics,"galaxies:evolution","galaxies:active","methods:numerical","stars:The number of papers for formation and methods:data analysis is the largest,reflecting that these researchers pay more attention to research norms.It may also indicate that they need more funding from fund agencies during the research process and that their research groups are huge.The possibility is that acknowledgement information includes their potential collaborators,which is one of the follow-up research directions.The significance of this study is mainly reflected in the fact that,in conjunction with the information provided by the fund-funding organizations,the papers that contain acknowledgement information can be measured and analyzed to provide valuable information for fund-funding institution researchers and other interested parties.The inadequacy of this study is that the coverage of the selected subjects is not comprehensive enough,thus resulting in the lack of sufficient representation of sample data.In the process of data processing,due to the complexity of the data and the lack of precision in manual processing,the author may filter out some useful data,which may lead to biased results.
