Research On ESI Research Fronts Based On R Language

Under the background of "double first-class" construction,institutions of higher learning and researchers in different ranking and evaluation systems try to set up reference standards,and strive to find an evaluation method or evaluation system that can provide services such as discipline development,tracking,comparison and evaluation.Essential Science Indicators is the main evaluation criterion of the first-class discipline evaluation,which is adopted by the education departments and provinces and municipalities in China to evaluate the scientific research performance of institutions of higher learning and other research institutions.The University Library which undertakes the subject service based on ESI,provides decision support for the subject development of the university,and provides the subject evaluation reference report for the school administrative department and the education authority.In addition,in recent years,research frontier has been widely concerned by scholars at home and abroad.ESI research frontier has become the main data source,and subject service department is one of the main research groups in ESI research frontier.Therefore,how to download and use ESI data more efficiently,how to detect and mine the fronts of ESI research and summarize the rules or links accordingly have become very important.On the basis of combing the structure,function and application of ESI database,this paper adopts literature research,statistical analysis,comparative analysis and visual analysis methods,takes ESI database as the research object and R language as the research tool,makes up for the deficiencies of traditional analysis methods in subject service departments,solves the problems faced in the process of ESI information retrieval and consultation,and finds that the frontier of ESI research has not yet been excavated.Explore the value and validate its rationality.After fully understanding the data structure,main indicators and important functions of ESI data,the collected ESI data are encapsulated by R self-compiled function.On this basis,the ranking functions of ESI are analyzed,including subject ranking,national ranking and organization ranking.Statistics show that ESI can not be directly applied to ESI analysis.It is found that the main business of subject service department depends on four sets of ESI indicators.Using ESI data dictionary,the visualization of four sets of ESI indicators is realized by R.The information that can not be directly displayed by ranking function is supplemented from the perspective of ESI indicators function,so as to improve the efficiency of researchers.Finally,through automatic translation,comparative analysis and text analysis,the academic connotation of the fronts of ESI research is excavated in a novel and innovative way.The research results have improved the efficiency of the frontier mining research of ESI research,and are conducive to the subject information service work carried out by the subject service department.It is also conducive to the researchers or institutions of various subjects to discover the hot topics in the research fronts and carry out targeted analysis and research.
