The Evaluation Indicators Study Of Domestic University Subject Service Platform Application

Subject service is a new library service project and mode in order to meet the needs of individual under the rapidly growing of resource information. Subject service platform is a new way of library service under the network environment. It combines the resources, technology, professional services, and also contacts the subject librarians, users, resource service together. Subject service platform formed a more collaborative cooperation service platform, support the teaching and researching in the university. With the help of Subject service platform, librarians can offer subject resources and services to users online. They can also communicate to users to know their needs to improve the platform constantly. Nowadays, many universities at home and abroad have or are building their own subject service platform. How about the application of these platforms? Which kind of resources and services should be provided? Can these platforms meet users’needs? Is there any other function need to be improved? Our universities are facing these problems now.The author uses the literature survey to collect relevant literature and investigate the construction and the application status of existing platform. Then chose the "985 Project" University libraries to conduct deeply survey and analysis. It also has carried on the comparative analysis to the self platform, blog platform and Libguides. The author used the questionnaire to know the users’understanding, usage and satisfaction of subject service platform. These results provide references to the application of university subject service platform.According to the results of the investigation and analysis, combined with the existing literature, the author established the evaluation indicators of the subject service platform. It is divided into 5 levels and 16 specific evaluation indicators about subject librarian, effect of service, information resources, platform interactive and platform construction. The author hopes that with these evaluation indicators, subject service platform can maximum play to its application value and provides a new thinking for the construction and development of platform in the future.
