With the advent of the information age, people start to use all kinds of intelligence tools in the work, study and life, and are highly dependent on the Internet, so the remote areas are. Thus the demand for Internet services in these areas has been more significant outstanding and the network access in remote areas is imminent. The VSAT(Very Small Aperture Terminal) network solution proposed by Huges Company has been widely used.But some characters of VSAT network make it face many security threats, such as the transparent transmission and the openness. In this paper, the security of VSAT network is analyzed, and a simulation of VSAT network is built, combining with data encryption and access authentication, to ensure the security of VSAT network.First, the composition and characteristics of VSAT networks, some basic authentication,and encryption method are introduced. Then, based on existing authentication methods, a lite-CA authentication system is structured, that suites VSAT network well and reduces the number of simultaneous interactive to realize the authentication. After that, instead of the raditional public key encryption system and symmetric encryption system, HW-F is used to ensure the security of data transmission and achieves a high real-time data transmission encryption. Finally, the C# programming language and SDK secondary development based on 3D GIS(Geographic Information System), combined with VSAT communication model,verify the validity of the authentication and encryption. The VSAT network secure communication system built in this paper provides a solution for the security analysis and communication reliability of VSAT, and has certain application value and significance in terms of VSAT satellite network structures and security analysis.
