Abstract/Summary:
Software engineering comes with features of tight deadline,uniqueness and strong uncertainty,which means project schedule management plays great important role in software engineering.Therefore,scientific and efficient scheduling is the key to the success of a project.Telecom operators,which belong to the traditional service industry,are faced with transformation in the age of the Internet.Software engineering projects is springing up while relevant experience,particularly in project schedule management theories and methods of comparative scarcity,is scare.In this case,study on how to combine actual project with related theory of project schedule is quite necessary.This article analyses problems in current project schedule management with a case of the company's ongoing construction of Internet service platform and finds appropriate schedule management ways applying to software engineering by studying related theoretical knowledge.With the help of CPM and PERT,this article estimates the duration of various processes,maps out the network plan according to logical relationship between each process activity,calculates the beginning and the end of time as well as all kinds of time parameters,and identifies the critical path of the whole project.Considering the effect of resource constraint,this article optimizes the network by replacing parallel process,which has resource conflict,with serial process.But that change will lead to increase of total duration of the whole project plan.Therefore,this article introduces critical chain project management(CCPM)method to get further optimization of schedule management,which means we can identify the duration of each process with 50% completion probability of the critical chain project management and remove unnecessary safety time,reaching the goal of compressing project time.In order to ensure the completion rate,this article adds various buffers in the project schedule,uses the root method according to actual situation and determines the size of the buffer time.We can monitor the project in real-time by using the relationship between the buffer consumption and implementation of the project schedule,and shorten the duration of Internet service platform construction projects without additional resource.Finally,we can find suitable project schedule management processes for similar software projects and provide valuable reference for telecommunications carriers.
