With the development of new media technologies,our media environment has also quietly changed,and the information acquisition mode,production process,and communication process have become faster and more diverse.It is in this new media context that hot events quickly ignite the network with its sensitivity and topicality.The new media has given the audience more expression platforms,the right to speak has expanded unprecedentedly,the pattern of public opinion has changed,and the reversal of public opinion has occurred frequently.The news reports in the early stage of the hot event have a large deviation from the follow-up reports.The public opinion of the audience has also reversed in the opposite direction,which makes the public opinion environment difficult to control,and the social impact cannot be underestimated.This study uses case analysis and data analysis to select the most influential and representative typical case from the top ten reversal events in 2018 from the context of new media,namely,“Chongqing Wanzhou bus crashing into the river” ",carry out in-depth research.Through the review of the news reports of the incident,we analyze the changes in public opinion in different periods of the event development,that is,the public opinion is mainly divided into four periods: the occurrence period,the reversal period,the reversal period,and the retreat period.The sharpness of public opinion is from the accusation of the car.The female driver retrogradely turned to "blame the low quality of female passengers",thus further exploring the formation process of the reversal of public opinion.In the process of event dissemination,the four aspects of communication environment,communication subject,communication content and audience have an important impact on the transformation of public opinion pattern.Therefore,the author analyzes the reasons for the reversal of public opinion from these four aspects.Through this research,the countermeasure mechanism to avoid frequent reversal of public opinion is proposed.The government should take strong control to carry out macro-control on public opinion.The media adopts soft guidance of public opinion to correct the trend of public opinion in a timely manner,and the audience expresses rational expression in public events.The author hopes that through this research,it can provide constructive opinions for the government,the media,and the audience,thereby purifying the pattern of public opinion,building a harmonious social public opinion environment,and promoting social progress and development.
