MIB Compilation And Its Automatic Implementation

As the Internet revolutionary developing, the organization scheme of telecommunication network has dramatically changed. The scale of telecommunication network is increasingly expand,the network elements is complication as the diversification of operation.It is important that the integrative network management platform should be built to contain the different networks and equipments for unifing management. The MIB is kernel component of network management.In the network management system developing, MIB Compiler is used translating the information structures of MIB described with Guidelines for the Definition of Managed Objects (GDMO) and Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1) to the information structures of MIB described with the program language.So the MIB compilation is one of kernel technology in the network management development, and the efficiency of MIB compilation is primary factor to restrict the development of the network management platform.The efficiency implement of MIB compilation,distribution and version control is very important to development of the integrative Telecommunication Management Network(TMN). In this paper the issues are summarized from the MIB compiler and compilation procedure by analyzing and studying the current MIB compiler. In order to solve these issues for effective implementing the MIB compilation, presents the scheme of MIB compilation and it automatic implementation. This scheme is gives from the working environments,the type of compilation MIB,the steps of compilation MIB,the MIB version control,delivery notes etc. The first step of this scheme is MIB pre-process.The design and implementation of MIB pre-process program is aim to solve the parser of the front compiler restrictions on the MIB definition. At the same time this program solves that the compatibility,consistency between the company new MIB definition and the international standard MIB definition or the company old MIB definition.It solves that MIB need customize according to the compilation environment.It standardizes the formart of MIB definition. The second step of this scheme is automatic implement MIB compilation.The design and implementation of automatic process program can implement the all relating operation according to the input parameter. This program can be executed from either the command line or the WEB interface.The Web interface used to drive the program and display the information of the program output. The MIB compilation automatic implement program with the web-based interface can manoeuvre the compilation in the all kinds of environment. The automatic program can be called from the other place via web-based interface, so it can support the distributed development of network management system. In the present this solution of MIB compilation and its automatic implementation has been applied to practice.Yet there is some implement detail need to been improved and perfected.
