A Research On The Issue Of Asymmetric Information In Food Safety Governance

Objective: Based on food safety governance theory,information asymmetry theory,the characteristics of block chain technology and its advantages in food safety management,combined with relevant case analysis,to explore strategies that can effectively alleviate information asymmetry in food safety governance,so as to improve the level of food safety management and promote the modernization of national governance capacity and governance system.Methods: Literature research and case analysis were used.Literature research method is consult the literature related to food safety governance and block chain technology;Case analysis,that is,select the domestic block chain technology applied in the field of food safety typical cases to be analyzed.Results: In the process of food safety governance,information asymmetry exists in a series of processes,such as acquisition and growth of food materials,production and processing,storage and transportation of food,sales and consumption,and supervision of quality and safety information.Information asymmetry will lead to the self-interest of food safety governance subjects,which will reduce the circulation of food safety information to a form.More seriously,it will lead to a series of public crisis of food safety.The differences in interest factors and information structure between governance subjects,the restrictions of information acquisition cost in the process of governance,the unimpeded information channels caused by technical constraints and other factors produce and aggravate the phenomenon of information asymmetry.Block chain technology has the characteristics of decentralization,information disclosure and transparency,information tampering and intelligent performance of contracts,which are its advantages in the field of food safety governance.Conclusion: By analyzing the case of block chain in the field of food safety,the food safety governance strategy based on block chain technology is obtained.To effectively alleviate the information asymmetry in food safety governance,it is necessary for government departments to constantly improve the relevant laws and regulations,to continuously optimize the development environment of the block chain,and to build a food safety regulatory government chain.It needs food production enterprises to develop food traceability system and social forces to participate actively in the process of supervising food safety information.
