The widely deployment and continuous upgrading of mobile communication networks has provided strong support for various mobile Internet services.Traditional wireless network core network i.e.packet domain has many disadvantages such as weak service support capability,too many network layers,low data routing and forwarding efficiency,etc.The EPC core network has supported separation between control and bearer layer,which has many merits including clearer network architecture,supporting multiple access modes,responding to the proliferation of mobile data traffic,and supporting the convergence of heterogeneous networks,respectively.This thesis presents a comprehensive research on LTE core network implementation and its evolution strategy depending on the actual project of Nanjing Mobile.Firstly,this thesis briefly describes the principles of the LTE core network,including the EPC network architecture,network elements and network characteristics,network key technologies and signaling procedures,etc.Then,some TD-LTE core network convergence and evolution strategy are discussed including MME and SGSN convergence,SAE-GW and GGSN fusion,HSS and HLR integration,respectively.The LTE voice solution is analyzed in detail and the advantages and disadvantages of different technical solutions are presented.At last,this thesis provides 5G network evolution strategy and implementation scenario depending on the overall requirement forecast of China Mobile 5G network deployment and Jiangsu mobile core network integration transformation plan.
