With the high-speed development of society information,the process of digital campus has been advancing.Due to the campus network of ECUST has been built for a long time,the fast uplink capacity of aggregation switches in XuHui campus isn't enough obviously so far,the access method of FTTB + LAN and the outdoor covered of wireless network signal also have many problems,so it is necessary to optimize the transformation.The thesis first introduces the widely used system of Ethernet passive optical network briefly,and it analyzed the existing problems of the current network in XuHui campus.On this basis,according to the plan and application requirements of the school,combined to the design specification,the thesis proposing optimization principle of optical network and wireless network in Campus,including the selection of networking technology;device configuration;optical distribution network(ODN)construction;division of VLAN and IP address planning;the design principles of dormitory area wireless network.According to these principles and the actual situation of campus network,optical line terminal(OLT),optical network unit(ONU)and optical distribution network(ODN)and dormitory area wireless network details optimal design of the three subsystems and wireless network have been given in the thesis,and summed up the characteristics of the three subsystems respectively.Finally,this thesis introduces the comparison optimization in Xuhui campus of ECUST optical network realization and optimization effect.Compared to the optimization design scheme and former school programs design,it gives the advantages of this design scheme in switch uplink capacity,system division ratio,cable wiring methods and Wireless network signal coverage,Bandwidth rate,Signal strength,Concurrent capacity.After optimization,the Wired network in XuHui campus of ECUST realized the upgrade from FTTB+LAN to FTTH based on Ethernet passive optical network(EPON)and the outdoor signal coverage upgrade to the indoor signal coverage in wireless network.Ability to provide Internet access,voice,IPTV and other types of business integrated access capabilities in the dormitory area.The construction experience which has been optimized can provide reference for other schools optimizing the campus network.
