The Study About The Management Of ERP Project In Company A

Enterprise resource planning,named ERP,is a modern theory and method of managing an enterprise.But ERP project implementation has a high failure rate.Among those reasons,a bad ERP management is a common one.So,it is important to make a very customized scheme according to the enterprise's characters.The author took part in an ERP project in a big state-owned enterprise,whose production is mainly electronic components.With this experience,we summarize and design a practical scheme for managing ERP project in similar enterprises.We point out the characteristics of electronic-component industry and the enterprise focused on.We investigate the current status of management in the enterprise's supply chain,summarize the facing problems,and make sure the feasibility and necessity of ERP project.According to the enterprise's characters,we separate the ERP project to be four stages,and arrange the main work in each stage.Among these stages,we detailly study several important work in the ERP project in similar electronic-component enterprises,including how to design the plan of ERP project,how to summarize and renew the business flows,how to proceed the prototype test and material coding,how to select a better way for system switching.We also discuss the preparing work,the organizational structure of management,the appropriated acceptance plan and the post management work,for ERP project.After that we evaluate and look forward about the effect of ERP project in focused enterprise.At the same time we study the defects in the ERP project implementation.It is also an good reference for similar enterprise.
