The publishing mode of traditional publishing houses can not meet the consumer demand of readers in the era of big data.The books published by traditional printing methods are separated from the individual needs of readers on the one hand,and bring a large amount of inventory on the other hand.Digital publishing technology has given traditional publishing a new vitality.The publishing model of “printing one print,that is,printing” has solved the long-standing problem of “three highs and one low” in traditional publishing houses.Traditional publishing houses should rely on data analysis technology to establish readers' thinking and build a closed-loop publishing ecosystem around publishing,printing and publishing on demand.Through the deep integration of big data technology and publishing industry,the publishing industry should be transformed..Although there are still many problems in publishing on demand,the era of big data has given more possibilities for on-demand publishing.By analyzing the development of domestic on-demand publishing,it seeks solutions for the decline of the book publishing industry.The thesis uses literature research method,case analysis method and comparative analysis method to analyze the problems of the on-demand publishing development process and the corresponding solutions in China through the analysis of different types of on-demand publishing subjects.The paper is mainly from five parts.The first part is the introduction,expounding the background of the topic and the meaning of the topic,literature review,paper ideas and innovations.The second part analyzes the concept,characteristics and development environment of on-demand publishing.By reading and combing relevant literature materials to define the concept of on-demand publishing,pointing out the differences betweenthe traditional publishing and on-demand publishing industry chain components,and briefly analyzing the development environment of on-demand publishing in the era of big data.The third part analyzes the changes in traditional publishing by on-demand publishing in the era of big data.From the perspectives of topic planning,content production,pricing methods,marketing methods,and user service models,we explore whether the development of on-demand publishing can break through the predicament of today's traditional publishing.The fourth part combs the development status of on-demand publishing at home and abroad from the macro level,and reorganizes the domestic on-demand publishing model.By studying the domestic typical on-demand publishing model,we explore the on-demand publishing methods of People's Posts and Telecommunications Press,Xuelin Publishing House and China Book Import and Export Corporation,and find an on-demand publishing model suitable for the domestic publishing industry.The fifth part analyzes the factors that restrict the development of domestic on-demand publishing in the era of big data,and proposes an operational development strategy for the problems of on-demand publishing.
