Research On Subject Service Of Paper Collection Resources In University Library

Paper collection resources,as the cornerstone of information resources in university libraries,play an important role in library services.With the development of information storage technology,all kinds of databases and electronic resources have become the focus of the introduction and development of major information resources in many university libraries.Compared with the rapid development and growth of digital libraries and e-books,the reading rate of paper books has been declining,and the demand for the storage and borrowing of paper documents has gradually declined.Therefore,as a traditional service mode of book acquisition,storage and lending,we should also adapt to the progress of the times,find more suitable service methods and methods to meet the needs of readers,and provide innovative and targeted reader services.Subject service is a new service which is different from traditional library service in order to adapt to the new information environment.It centers on users' needs,relies mainly on information resources in libraries,takes knowledge service as the main body,builds a library subject service platform,and provides comprehensive and targeted subject knowledge service to information users in the field of teaching and scientific research.The subject service of libraries for different disciplines,majors and departments in universities is a way and method for improving and developing the self-service of university libraries.On the basis of the existing researches,construct the subject service system of paper collection resources in university libraries,and build the subject service platform of paper collection resources,through the analysis of readers' borrowing behavior,this paper summarizes the different demands of different readers on paper collection resources in colleges and universities.Starting from the needs of readers,this paper provides certain reference and reference for the theory and practice of subject service of paper collection resources in university libraries,and provides data basis and decision support for the actual work of university libraries.
