Research On Reader Borrowing Behavior Of Medical College Libraries Based On Circulation Data

[Purpose] This study is based on the use of paper collection resources in medical college libraries.The social network analysis is a method to investigate and analyze the use of books in medical college libraries,and to build reader interest groups and professional cooperation groups.Better provide a basis for reader service.[Methods] In this study,inductive analysis and literature research were used to analyze the current research status of borrowing behaviors.Statistical analysis was used to obtain medical popular books,non-medical hot books,high-lending readers and high borrowing.The professional and quantitative statistical analysis was carried out;social network analysis was used to determine the hot topics of medical books,non-medical topics and to build lending interest groups and professional cooperation groups.[Results] The results of this study are as follows:(1)The undergraduate borrowing frequency of undergraduates,especially clinical students,accounts for 31.71% of the total borrowing frequency,which is the largest use group of medical college libraries.(2)Textbooks,basic medical books,and professional medical books are the hot topics for medical use.(3)Chinese contemporary literature,English-based books on other subjects,foreign popular books and music books represented by Japan and the United States are non-medical hotspots.(4)There are 5 interest groups with only undergraduates,accounting for 55.56% of the total number of interest groups.(5)Undergraduate students in clinical medicine have the best co-occurrence,and 9 of the 11 cooperative groups participated,accounting for 81.82% of the total number of interest groups.(6)The undergraduate students of clinical undergraduate and preventive medicine have very good co-occurrence.Six of the 11 cooperative groups participated together,accounting for 54.55% of the total number of interest groups.(7)Undergraduate students in pharmacy,undergraduate students in forensic medicine,undergraduates in stomatology,master students in clinical laboratory diagnostics,master students in pediatrics,undergraduates in medical laboratory technology,master students in pathology and pathophysiology,emergency medicine The master students and other majors have fewer co-occurrences and weaker central points.[Conclusions] The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)At present,the focus of the library books of the medical college library and its corresponding service population are undergraduates in clinical medicine,which indicates that the library resources of the library still play a fundamental role in assisting teaching.(2)The library of medical colleges should be inclined to the basic medical books in the compilation and compilation of book resources.(3)Medical students pay special attention to the study of English,and should appropriately increase the compilation and editing of English books.(4)Medical students are involved in the cultivation of humanistic literacy.(5)Undergraduates majoring in clinical practice are most likely to form a lending interest group.(6)The borrowing books of the International Students Borrowing Interest Group are relatively simple and small.It is necessary to encourage international students to borrow interest groups to expand the borrowing range.(7)Popular books have better penetration in different groups,and are suitable for readers to expand the level of education of members of interest groups.(8)Undergraduate students in clinical medicine are suitable for communication and cooperation with almost all other majors.Secondly,undergraduate students in preventive medicine are also more suitable to communicate and cooperate with other majors.The exchanges and cooperation between these two majors are also very compatible.(9)Undergraduate students in pharmacy,undergraduate students in forensic medicine,undergraduate students in stomatology,master students in clinical laboratory diagnostics,master students in pediatrics,undergraduates in medical laboratory technology,master students in pathology and pathophysiology,emergency medicine The subjects of the master's students and other groups are highly independent,and readers of these majors should be encouraged to expand the scope of borrowing and increase exchanges and cooperation between disciplines.
