Research On The Utilization Of Paper Collection Resources In University Libraries Based On Circulation Data

Paper collection resource is one of the most important core resources of the university library in our country,which is also the material basis of library resources service.It has the irreplaceable advantage of digital collection resources,and it is the best choice for college students to learn systematically.However,with the extensive application of network and digital technologies and many other factors,readers' reading carriers are more diverse and information acquisition is more convenient and faster,which has great impact on the traditional paper collections resources9 collection and utilization.Based on the research and analysis of circulation data,this paper evaluates the utilization of paper collection resources in university libraries and provides quantitative basis and decision support for the construction of paper collection resources.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part elaborates the research background,significance,methods,content and the main innovations of the paper.The second part Nviews the literature on the utilization of collection resources,the borrowing circulation data and the system dynamics.The third part expounds the current situation of library resources utilization of Shandong University Library and analyzes the existing problems of library resources utilization through the analysis of borrowing circulation data,which lays the foundation for system dynamics modeling and analysis.The fourth part uses the system dynamics method combining qualitative and quantitative analysis,static and dynamic analysis to study the utilization model of paper collection resources,and based on the conclusions,the paper puts forward corresponding suggestions and Countermeasures for the utilization of paper collection resources.The fifth part summarizes the main research results and prospects for the next study.In this paper,we use the literature research method,interview method,statistical analysis method and system dynamics method to do the research.The main achievements are as follows:(1)From the cumulative utilization rate,cumulative lending rate and h index,we analyze the utilization needs of the paper collection resources and promote the research progress in the construction of library collection resources.(2)From the dynamic perspective of system dynamics,a dynamic model of paper collection resources utilization with universal applicability is initially constructed,which provides a new research perspective for the utilization of paper collection resources in libraries.(3)According to the conclusions of this paper,the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the practical problems in the utilization of paper collection resources,to guide the construction of paper collection resources in similar university libraries.
