The advent of the new media era has brought about major changes in the video communication channel.Traditional cable TV media has gradually failed to meet the needs of the masses and multi-screen viewing.Cable TV needs transition from the traditional industry to the new media industry,two-way,interactive,Intelligent and broadband have gradually become the new normal of people's video viewing.The introduction of policies such as “triple play” and “broadband China” indicates that China's new video media will be closely integrated with the Internet.Cable TV is the largest TV service operator in China with the largest number of users.In recent years,due to the impact of the Internet,the TV viewing mode has become two-way interactive and small-screen,while facing the numerous competitors of satellite TV,terrestrial digital TV,IPTV and Internet TV,its TV dominance has been seriously challenged,cable TV The industry has changed from a monopoly to a direction that has to adjust its development strategy to attract more customers,and its survival is in jeopardy.The TV operation industry in Shandong Province is also facing a similar situation.Since 2010,Shandong Broadcasting and Television Network Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Shandong Cable)has fully integrated the network companies across the province.Major breakthroughs in digital overall translation and integrated management platform construction,the number of cable TV users has grown rapidly,and its users have reached more than 20 million,making it the largest cable TV operation company in China.However,because Shandong Cable is subject to the one-way transmission awareness of traditional TV,the technological product innovation is slow,and it is impossible to realize the true personalized two-way interaction demand.At the same time,IPTV and Internet TV of other operators are developing rapidly,and the loss of cable TV users is serious.Based on the development history of domestic and foreign cable TVs and the development data of Shandong Cable in the past five years,this paper analyzes the shortcomings ofShandong Cable in terms of strategy formulation,technology and talents,and proposes to take Shandong new and old kinetic energy conversion policies as an opportunity.The paper introduces Lean Management Thinking for the first time to analyze the internal strategic development of the cable TV industry,and uses the business model canvas tool to describe the strategic deployment of cable TV.The deep transformation of strategy and external strategy will provide a reference for the future development of the cable TV industry.
