This paper based on the body as the breakthrough point and focused on the fitness class WeChat official accounts.Content analysis will be used in this research,it will take the articles of body representation in fitness class WeChat official accounts as the sample to study.Through encoding variables and building category and data analysis,trying to explore the construction method of social media to body representation.On this basis,found the characteristics of the body representation in social media and analyzed the reasons and effects of body representation.In this study,all the articles we collected were posted between October 1st of 2014 and September 30 th of 2015 in fitness class WeChat official accounts.Using the random sampling methods,we chose 306 articles to collect and analyze,and the general characteristics of the body representation in social media was found.First of all,the construction mode of social media on body has characteristics: purpose clear,complete form,content symbolism.Secondly,the characteristics of the body representation in social media have three aspects: sexual distinction of body,class nature of body,consumption of body.It can be explained as: the social media showing distinct characteristics on sexual distinction of body representation,and there are different methods of body representation on different social class,and there are more attention on body representation in consumption culture.In addition,this paper combined with the characteristics of the body representation in social media and social status,analyzing the impact of body representation on the audience.On the one hand,social media convey a healthy lifestyle to the audience.On the other hand,the representation also caused the audience excessive consumption body,and made audience has a negative body image.
