The Application Of The GPON Technology In The Home Broadband Network

With the continuous development of the Internet and the renewal of the Internet service,new requirements and application emerge one after another.It must need a higher request to satisfy the current situation of broadband access network.Therefore,we still need constant adjustment,promotion,development and improvement for the broadband access network today.In the meantime,with the development of our world,more new technology and new scheme will be applied to the broadband access in order to support the network communication and services of modern society.Nowadays,the GPON technology is a kind of popular access technology which operators all attach importance to.Due to the high demand of the customer for the broadband service,the GPON technology tends to be widely used in all aspects.The paper studies this project by using the method of combining theory and practice,and the study work in this paper is as follows:(1)Introduce the concept and characteristics of access network and the commonly used access technology in theory.Analyze the definition of the optical access network and its network structure.Besides,the paper analyzes the characteristics of the GPON technology in theory.(2)The exploration of the access of the GPON technology in home broadband network: it main analysis the mode of the GPON technology combined with LAN,the GPON technology combined with ADSL technology mode and the FTTH mode.(3)The analysis of application status of the GPON technology in broadband access: we discuss the present situation of the development of network access technology in our country and the development and application of the GPON broadband access technology.In view of the main existence problem of access to the copper network in the present urban and rural areas,the paper has fully discussed.And on this basis,the development and application of the GPON broadband access technology is put forward.GPON network for a variety of scenarios,including high-end residential and villa area,ordinary residential,office and technology parks,cafes,college campuses,rural,video surveillance points.According to customer demand,according to specific scenarios and already have access to the network resources,our group will be economical network solutions put forward relevant proposals.(4)Evaluate the application of the GPON broadband access technology from its performance advantage,construction advantage and price advantage in home broadband network.(5)The practical application: take a test region in Shanghai as an example and analyze the specific case which has realized the broadband access based on the GPON technology.First of all,analyze the users ' demand for broadband in the test region in Shanghai.Next,plan the optical network unit,optical line terminal,power supply mode and light splitter.And then determine the choice of optical fiber cable.On this basis,discuss problems that require attention in process of implementing scheme.In the end,test the network.At the same time,take the user in the 21 st floor 2 units of the test region in Shanghai as an example,compare the broadband access way combined with the GPON technology with the traditional ADSL access way.(6)Through the theory combined with the actual research above,put forward methods for improvement of the GPON technology of broadband access.It mainly includes the following four aspects: 1)Strengthen cost control of the GPON broadband access technology.2)Take a comprehensive analysis of the customer requirements of the GPON broadband access technology.3)Improve technology is a kind of new technology with great use potential and high technical standard.The technology can bring more users faster broadband speed relies on relatively cheap cost.In addition,the GPON technology can avoid restrictions broadband has more effectively and maintain characteristics and advantages what are extensive coverage,high transmission rate and convenient installation.In recent years,with the development of technology research and the increase of the customer,the GPON technology will lead the pace of technology innovation in the future development of network access.In this paper,evaluate its application through the analysis of present situation of the application of the GPON technology.And according to the evaluation,find out the increase plan of GPON technology improvements to promote the steady development of the GPON technology further.In the process of study and work in the future,we should also strengthen the study of the GPON technology.So that we can improve the fiber material further to avoid disadvantages of the GPON technology application.At last,make the GPON broadband access technology serve the society better with less cost and higher profits.
