Design Of Residential Broadband Access Network Based On GPON

Broadband access network is the basis of telecommunication network and also can be the important part of the full service operation. As the basic condition of social development and economic life, communication network has become one necessary part in our daily life. In rec ent years, with the popularity of the Internet, the original broadband access mode ADSL has been unable to meet the user’s growing requirements for high bandwidth rate. GPON technology, as the current mainstream broadband access technology, will gradually replace the original ADSL broadband access technology, and provide strong technical support for telecom operators to implement the replacement of copper cables with optical fiber cables.The dissertation firstly states the development background of PON technology at home and abroad, puts forward the application value of PON technology in the broadband access network, introduces XDSL, FTTX, GPON technology involved in the broadband access network design, and existing equipment situation, and make the demand analysis for the current situation and business of community broadband access network, including the mode situation of present broadband access network, the community broadband network resources situation and existing problems, and puts forward feasible FTTH construction scheme, finally broadband metropolitan area network, OLT equipment networking, optical cable lines and fiber optic jumper design, etc. After the completion of the community broadband access network design, according to the organization principle of the broadband access network, combined with bandwidth estimation results, make a comparison for the access network with the way of ADSL and PON networking. Finally, under broadband access way of ADSL & PON, measure the bandwidth and get results, which provide a more powerful proof for the research of this topic.After the implementation of community broadband access network design by GPON technology, the improvement of existing broadband access network greatly meets the community users’demand for high bandwidth access, by the specific bandwidth test, further prove the influence of high bandwidth under the access way of GPON technology.
