Study On Surge Test And Calibreation Method

With the evolution of science and technology,electromagnetic environment has become increasingly complex which has been even severer with the emergence of new products and technologies because of which electromagnetic pollution problem has been brought into focus.For the purpose of making various sorts of electric equipment working together without affecting and interfering with each other,electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)has become the key to this problem.Therefore,EMC tests have become a focus in many countries.From above,different countries and international organizations publish appropriate standards for EMC.The standards serve not only the purpose of supervision on the products reliability and safety quality but of the establishment of technology barriers as well.Among the current EMC standards,lightning surge standard is one of the most basic.The test of surge is an activity checking how a product operating under normal working conditions will respond to a surge signal.In almost all EMC product standards,surge tests are crucial items to be performed which is the essential provision before electronic products entering the market.Considering and taking advantage of the hardware conditions of the laboratory and surge standard,the essay analyzed the similarities and differences between domestic and international standards of surge,introduced the main components of the device,described the process of surge test bench,analyzed the difference among several coupling methods.And then established surge calibration bench and gave the method of measurement uncertainty(MU)of surge calibration.Finally,the essay obtained a set of surge generator internal component parameters complying with the standards by means of modeling and numeric simulation which has offered a firm technical support for domestic manufacturers helping on their products EMC tests and certification during their R&D phase and before exportations.
