With the rapid development of China's economy and real estate industry as well as our governments 'continuing to encourage and support real estate industry,the buzzword "home-decoration" has been increasingly referred in daily life.Especially for people dwelling in different metropolises,house decoration is their headache.Home improvement program has become sweet pastry and lots of television stations have launched series kinds of regarding programs.However,the reception is not very good.Meanwhile,a large home improvement show named "Dream home renovation" from Oriental TV gradually comes into audiences' view.As the first tranche of program for home improvement,the program truly restores daily life of commissioned families and abounds with deep humanistic care.Once broadcasting,it attracted immediately a large number of audiences.Relying on words,the program "Dream home renovation" has been recognized by numerous audiences."With love to refresh life," "making the ugly beautiful" and "conscience show" have become synonyms for "Dream home renovation".Choosing "Dream home renovation" as the typical representative for home improvement programs and from the angle of the audience,this article fully explores the development process,the content and features of "Dream home renovation",etc.In the meanwhile,combining with the "use and satisfaction" theory in communication sciences and related sociological theories,the thesis discusses the audience composition,the audience psychology and behaviour based on this program.Nowadays,as the third quarter will be broadcast,this paper puts forward some feasible optimization strategies on how to prevent and avoid the audience aesthetic fatigue and improve the program's rating.
