Research On The Opening Mode Of University Libraries In Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone

Nationwide reading has become an important step in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization in China.The improvement of public reading level plays an important role in the industrial development and economic progress of China.At the same time,the constant adjustment of industrial structure in our country,the development of information technology,calls for the urgent demand for knowledge of information and electronic resources.As one of the first batch of high-tech zones in China,East Lake High-tech zones,in Wuhan city,Hubei province has the advantages of high-tech industry gathering,high educational level of population,numerous universities and rich resources of university libraries.However,there are also some problems such as the lack of public library resources,the narrow access to electronic resources,and the insufficient utilization rate of university libraries.Therefore,it is feasible for university libraries to open to the public.Making full use of university library resources while developing local economy is of great significance to the overall development of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone.This paper consists of five parts.The first part introduces the research background and significance of opening university libraries to the public.This paper expounds the relevant concepts and relevant theories,analyzes the research status at home and abroad,and elaborates on the research approach and methods and the innovation.The second part is the reading demand analysis in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone.By analyzing the special industries and talents there,and then conducting a survey on the reading needs of the community residents and employees in the high-tech zone,the author understands its demand for public libraries resources,so as to put forward feasible models.The third part is the analysis of the problems in the independent opening of university libraries in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone.There are many problems in the independent opening of university libraries in high-tech development zones with the under-utilization of library resources in their numerous universities.Multiple cooperation can be conducted to facilitate the library opening-up.The forth part puts forward the feasible opening models,including operation model,management model and service model.The fifth part is the summary and prospect,offering the overall summary of the paper and the explanation of potential shortcomings.
