In 2017,with the popularity of "Hip-Hop in China",hip-hop rap became a trend.Rappers also made a name for themselves, and went ground from the underground. However, the rise of hip-hop rap is by no means accidental. It is through the accumulation of long-term subcultural capital. The involvement of interesting groups has the possibility of converting to other capital by the operation of the media.Based on the theory of Sara Thornton's subcultural capital, this thesis takes hip-hop rap as the research object, and based on the new media context and China's current environment, explores how sub-cultural groups form their separation from others through "style".And how they use“style”to form a subcultural capital. At the same time, subcultural capital can also be transformed into economic capital and social capital through various channels. In the process of the transformation, the media is foundation, and the interest group is the most prominent trait in the process of transformation. The successful transformation of economic capital and social capital provides economic foundation and social security for subcultural capital acquisition, and strengthens subcultural capital. The essence of the transformation of subcultural capital is to meet the resurgence of the way of commercial expression, and to expand the living space by reducing the sense of subcultural existence. The subcultures use the subcultural capital to export the subcultural values and spiritual core to the main culture.Through the analysis of the hip-hop rap group, this thesis explores the foundations, traits, ways and the essences of subcultural capital transformation of hip-hop rap group. At the same time,it is no longer confined to the connotation of hip-hop rap,and no longer treats subcultures from the perspective of main culture.Instead,it focuses on hip-hop rap in the new media context and consumer society, and explores in reverse thinking.Subcultures use subcultural capital to achieve counterattacks towards the main culture. This article is divided into four parts. The first part is to sort out the development history of hip-hop rap and its localization after being introduced to China. The focus of this part is to analyze the changes made by rap as an "imported product" after being introduced to China, and to explain the difference between the domestic rap environment and the foreign rap environment. The second part, mainly through the discussion of rap"style",explores the style of hip-hop rap to form the subcultural capital of hip-hop rap,and clarifies the concrete and objectified performance of hip-hop rap subculture capital. The third and fourth parts are the focus of this thesis. In the third part, this thesis demonstrates that the media is the foundation in the transformation of subculture capital by demonstrating the role of different media in the process.By demonstrating the outbreak of collective power in the process of subculture capital transformation in the internet age,it is concluded that the involvement of interesting groups is the most prominent trait in the process of subculture capital transformation. In the fourth part, the process and the essence of subculture capital transformation each become a chapter. In the chapter of transformation, the subculture capital is transformed into economic capital by means of the anti-receipt of business through the contents of the three sections, and subculture arouse the attention of the mainstream society and gain the improvement of social status and obtain social capital. Finally, the successful transformation of economic capital and social capital has in turn become the support for strengthening subculture capital. When the essence of the transformation was demonstrated,it was concluded that the subculture capital gained the resurgence of the presentation and the expansion of the living space by embracing the business in the transformation.
