The research on improving the service quality of university library has great significance both in theory and in practice.Based on the related concepts and theories of service quality evaluation of university libraries,this paper not only redefines the key concepts,but also modifies the relatively foreign LibQUAL+TM evaluation model according to the actual situation of university libraries in China,and then determines the related 4 indicators and 21 measurement items of this improved LibQUAL+TM model.Based on the above theoretical research,this paper takes the students of Fujian Normal University as the research object,making the questionnaire through the"questionnaire star" website,and issuing the questionnaires by new media such as WeChat,QQ and so on.Through the empirical study of descriptive statistics and structural equations,the following important conclusions are obtained.First of all,the overall satisfaction for the teachers and students of Fujian Normal University on the service quality of its library was on high level,which means the service quality of this library has been fully affirmed by the teachers and students on this campus.Secondly,the four dimensions of library literature resources,library environment,library service effects and library managers are the main factors to impact the service quality of the university library.The order of these four indexes reflects the urgency for readers to improve service quality of the library.Thirdly,the paper puts forward ten key directions for improving the service quality of the library of Fujian Normal University.Finally,in view of the development directions and development strategy of university library,this paper proposes the pertinent countermeasures and corresponding suggestions.
