| This study aims at assessing the successful implementation of El Nuevo Pais,a digital newspaper from Venezuela in Spain which uses the new business model of news aggregator.Every year,thousands of Spaniards read more and more news.The digital era has made news and information more accessible to everyone.These days,anyone has a smartphone where they can use social networks,apps,web pages and many other channels to spread a rumor and read fake news,unintentionally.We have seen how these can change the world,and how it can affect the calm of society.Therefore,the future International Master in Business and Administration decided to analyse with the support of primary and secondary data the need of news' consumers in Spain.Consumers that want a news platform in which they can trust because the nature of its business model is to reproduce reliable sources.The study analyses the background through the current status of the news industry,offers a literature review of the digital news industry with definitions and key concepts.Also,different business models,concepts,frameworks and their application to develop business opportunities are applied.This will allow to understand why this business model could be successful in Spain.A financial projection of 7 years is performed,analysing how is the digital news market in Spain,the possibility of becoming an effective online ads platform,the consumers' needs,and the political-economic situation.From this projection,it can be concluded that the Digital Newspaper implementation applying the news reproduction model presented in this study(news aggregator)would be viable and profitable in Spain by generating a positive impact to the business,the country and the world. |
