The Research Of Female Image Of Tencent Online News

With feminism's increasing globalization,the wave of feminism will eventually strike the land of China.Although developed western countries have experienced feminism for nearly a century,China has only communicated with feminism for 30 years.As a theory and critical method,the diffusion of feminism highly depends on press.In other words,as a reflection for feminism,news media helps delivering certain values and ideologies to the mass majority by women's news,thus resulting in a reconstruction of gender consciousness.With the range of economic reform becoming wider and women's consciousness of right and power reviving,gender issue is becoming more prominent and specific in the patriarchal society.Therefore,to some extent,researching the development of women's news through the angle of feminism possesses theoretical and practical values.This study divides women's news into two parts: female staff of media and women's news reports.Since Internet has become the largest platform for users to receive and spread information,this study will take online women's news as the object of study to discuss the relationship between feminism and media.This research paper includes five chapters.The first chapter will introduce the background of this study and the reason to research,do a literature review of both western and domestic literature,and indicate the innovation of this paper.Chapter two will analyze the female image of online women's news.Based on 678 women's news in Tencent News,this paper will discuss female image from four aspects: report tendency,report subject,family role of women,and working role of female.Chapter three concludes relevant problems and explores reasons behind.Chapter four will propose corresponding suggestions.And chapter five is the conclusion part.In general,this study intends to research from the angle of feminism to propose practical suggestions for a better future of women's news in the Internet.
