Comparative Study Between TV Variety Show Hosts And Network Self-Made Variety Show Hosts

In current China,variety show is very popular because of enjoyment and entertainment.Both of traditional TV media and internet new media are constantly providing all kinds of variety shows to audience.In variety show,the host is in charge of controlling the topic and rhythm,that is to say,host is an indispensable important element in variety show.Both variety shows,no matter is played on TV media or internet media,share the spreading property,so the show host has decisive effect in the message spreading process.This paper used the show hosts from China TV variety show and the self-made variety show of Iqiyi video,Tecent video and Youku video as study subjects.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part clarifies the origin of this research,sorts out the research status and research ideas,and puts forward the innovation points of this research;the second part defines the concept of variety show hosts on the two platforms;the third part compared the difference between the two kind of variety show host from gender,age construction,major,education background,and figure,etc.;the forth part used role theory and compared the two kind of variety show host from self role,media role,social role and culture role;the fifth part used Wang Han the host of both Tian Tian Xiang Shang from Hunan TV channel and Martian information bureau from Youku video as example,compare his context conscious,topic selection and humor strategy,etc;the sixth part based on above study,directing at the problem exist in the two kind of variety show host development,come up with thought about transboundary hosting and adjustment,role imbalance and build,culture deficiency and cultivate,and future development direction,etc.The conclusion is drawn through comparison:variety shows need personalized hosts as well as “al-around”hosts,this is the future trend of variety show hosts.It is the direction of joint efforts of all media platforms,program producers and hosts.This paper use literature study method,compare study method and individual cases study method,compare the difference between two kind o f variety show host from various aspect and angle,beginning with typical host,made comparative study between TV variety show host and internet self-made variety show host.At present,there are relatively few researches on the comparison between TV hosts and network hosts in China.This leaves a large research space for this paper,which is also the innovation point of this paper.
