The development of entertainment industry has brought about a new kind of audience-"fan audience".Fan audience shows the initiative of obtaining information,the enthusiasm of interpreting texts and the creativity of cultural reproduction in star-following activities.These characteristics distinguish fans audience from ordinary audience,and construct a new sub-culture-"fan culture".The emergence of new media provides a platform for emotional communication between fans and idols.Fans not only establish a "quasi-social relationship" with idols,but also show their active productivity on the new media platform.The new media has given more rights to fans,which has promoted their status in information dissemination activities.From star-chasing,star-holding to Internet star-making,fans have entered a "post-star era".The productivity of fans in Web 2.0 has been liberated,and fans have become "productive consumers" consuming idol texts in a personalized way.As a typical commodity in post-Fordism,the behavior of fans consuming idol texts is more and more related to the creation of meaning.Fans continuously produce fans' cultural products through spontaneous "free labor".New media not only provides fans with a new arena to pursue stars,but also becomes a platform for the gathering of fans as an interesting group.While fans produce cultural products on their own initiative,they also consciously restrain their behavior in communication activities,and there are certain institutional norms within the fans group.In the production and dissemination of fans' culture,fans usually use the emotions of idols as their motivation to disseminate fans' cultural products in the form of text,pictures,images and other media to achieve the needs and purposes of self-expression.The dissemination of fans' culture is more like a way of empathy.Fans keep looking for a sense of belonging,participation and identity in the process,so as to construct a new social and cultural ecology.
