Analysis Of University Library's Digital Publishing Competitiveness Based On Porter's Five Forces Model

In the digital age,China's government departments have released a number of policies to encourage the development of digital publishing.The rapid growth of industry scale and revenue confirms that digital publishing has become the mainstream in China's publishing industry.As a information service center,university libraries are increasingly demanding information resources and digital services.Digital publishing activities are the key to the upgrading of resource systems and the transformation of service systems in university libraries.The digital publishing work of university libraries has rich advantages such as collection and information resources,professional liabrarians,and high-quality services.Combined with the development status of digital publishing in university libraries,this research uses the Porter Five Force model to find competing factors of the five capabilities of the digital publishing activities,from the competitiveness of existing competitors in the industry,the competitiveness of potential competitors,the substitution ability of substitutes,the bargaining power of suppliers,and the bargaining power of buyers This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of university libraries participating in digital publishing.Chinese university libraries should strengthen the competition consciousness,ensure the competitive advantage by Formulating policies,improving management system,cultivating and introducing profession;Innovative ability and marketing themselves to different users to form brand to make up for the competitive disadvantage.;The theory of digital publishing in university libraries is immature.Many activities are only preliminary exploration stages.They are new industries.they also have good material resources and human resource bases.They will play an vital role in publishing industry in the future.
