Academic Publishing Service Of University Library Under The Digital Environment

Today,with the rapid development of information technology,the progress of digital environment and open access makes the functions and services of traditional university libraries face the attacks and challenges.On the one hand,more and more documents have been published in electronic form because the increase in the price of books and the lack of sufficient funds to meet the rising cost of copyright and publication costs;On the other hand,the establishment of academic search network platform results that a large number of readers directly obtain information on the network,and promotes the university libraries are in a weak state in academic exchange,which cause university libraries to face the problem of " disintermediation".And it also compels university libraries to change their functions in the academic exchange and makes it play a role of organizer and propagator in the scholar communication system.The digital transformation of university library,abundant resources,stable development of university press and the support of technology platform provide opportunities for the academic publishing service,and then it has become a trend.The focus of academic publishing service research in China is how to seize this opportunity and learn from the successful experience of academic publishing services in foreign university libraries,which is to find a suitable model in Chinese academic libraries.This paper introduces basic background in academic publishing service of university library,and analyzes the development opportunities and challenges of university library in the digital environment,and then proposes that the university library should broaden their services,change their functions,and carry out academic publishing services,which contribute to strengthen their position in the academic exchange system.Meanwhile,we also raise the service modes and strategies of academic publishing service inour university library through the practice case of foreign universities to carry out academic publishing service,which are expected to apply to our academic publishing service practice.This thesis consists of five parts:The first chapter introduces the background of the topic,the research status at home and abroad,research content,research methods and innovation of the paper.The second chapter is relevant concepts and theoretical foundations.The third chapter is relevant analysis of university library academic publishing services.The fourth chapter is about the practice of academic publishing service at home and abroad.The fifth chapter is to draw lessons from the case of the third chapter and then propose strategies of China's colleges and universities to carry out academic publishing services.The sixth chapter is the summary and prospect of this paper.
