Research On The Report Of "Overcoming Poverty And Attacking Strong Poverty" Of Xinhua News Agency Based On Agenda-setting Theory

In November 2015,Beijing held the Central Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Development.At the meeting,Secretary-General Xi delivered an important speech.General Secretary Xi stressed that eliminating poverty,improving people's livelihood and gradually realizing common prosperity are the essential requirements of socialism and the important mission of the Communist Party of China.In the new media era,people know that the struggle against poverty comes from more media reports.The media's attention and focus directly affect people's cognition and judgment.According to agenda-setting theory,mass media has the function of setting agenda for the public.This paper tries to sort out the practical application of agenda setting in Xinhua News Agency's report on "fighting poverty and fortifying fortifications",grasp the regularity of the change trend of Xinhua News Agency's agenda setting on "fighting poverty and fortifying fortifications" from the time dimension vertically,analyze the reasons for the change,summarize the characteristics of agenda setting,and analyze the characteristics of "fighting poverty and fortifying fortifications" report with the theory of news framework.To analyze the internal structure of Xinhua News Agency's report on "fighting poverty".Through the analysis of the sample,this paper finds that the Xinhua News Agency reported that the frequency of reports has increased significantly during the period of 2015-2018.The coverage of the report emphasizes the conventional manuscripts.The issue of “getting rid of poverty” is a matter of daily importance in the construction of Xinhua News Agency.It is a proactive report topic,and there are relatively in-depth reports.The source of the news is mainly the official voice,and the report tends to be positive.Through the analysis of the micro-environment and macro-environment of Xinhua News Agency,it was found that the Xinhua News Agency's “Poverty Alleviation” report was influenced by Xinhua's internal production process and political,economic and cultural influences.From the perspective of agenda setting,the research on the related reports of "poverty alleviation and fortification" will help people deeply understand the relevant reporting system of "poverty alleviation and fortification" in China from the structurallevel.From the perspective of media practitioners,this study will explore the closeness and practicability of the relevant reports of "poverty alleviation and fortification" through a detailed analysis of the process of media agenda,with a view to the future "poverty alleviation and fortification".Reference basis for the related reporting work of "tackling the hardships by poverty".
