The Delimma And Strategies Of News Truthfulness In The Post-truth Era

Under the research background of Post-truth era,this paper combines the theories of communication,sociology,psychology and other interdisciplinary knowledge,using the methods of content analysis,case analysis and in-depth interviews to explore the cause,influences and strategies of the delimma of the news truthfulness in the post-truth era.Defining post-truth,news truthfulness and false news by teasing the related literature.This paper analyzes the political,technological and cultural environment of the post-truth era and Summarized its features as emotions overwhelming the truth,entertainment dissolving seriousness and unprecedented material desire.Sorting out the connotation,requirement and importance of news truthfulness.This paper also generalizes the delimma of the news truthfulness as frequent rumors,reversal becoming normal and the media losing its credibility with the people,and takes the event of Wang Fengya as an example to analyse post-truth news.As for the influences of it,including the uncontrolled Internet public opinions,the decreasing of the media morality,the lost of the public and the damage of governmental credibility.This paper describes the cause of the delimma of news truthfulness in the post-truth era from three aspects,including the replacing of communication technology,the idea that valuing the information flow most and the psychological characteristics of the netizen.Finally,this paper puts forward the strategies of the delimma of the news truthfulness in the post-truth era from four aspects,including the governmental supervision,the media insistence,the attainments of the public and the supplement of technologies.The government should strengthen the verification and turn passivity into initiative;Revealing the truth in time and replacing repression with guidance.The traditional media should transform from information media to meaning media;The new media should reform itself to improve the professional qualities of the practitioners.As for the public,efforts should be made to improve their media literacy and strengthen rational thinking.In technology,combining algorithm recommendation with artificial distribution;Big data technology can also be used to identify rumors,locate the source of information in order to carryout governance from the source.
