With the increasing popularity of mobile devices,mobile phones play an increasingly important role in human life.At the same time,people have higher requirements for its performance and appearance.As an important part of mobile communication,mobile phone antennas are expected to adapt to multiple frequency bands and be small in size.How to design a mobile phone antenna that satisfies with multi-band coverage,thickness and occupancy ratio of the phone becomes a new challenge.This paper proposed three novel antenna designs for mobile phones according to the current status and hot topics of mobile phone research.1.An eight-band small mobile phone antenna with step-like grooves on the floor is designed in this paper.By using defective ground structure and optimizing antenna parameters,the proposed antenna can cover eight mobile communication bands.By loading rectangular grooves on the floor,the cell phone battery can be embedded to reduce the thickness of the cell phone.Finally,the cell phone can cover 690-960 MHz,1710-2690 MHz,with good directivity,which meets the communication requirements of the eight bands of the cell phone.2.A novel mobile phone antenna based on magnetic dielectric is designed in this paper.By using magnetoelectric material and arranging them reasonably,it can cover low frequency band(LTE700)and has wide bandwidth.The-6dB bandwidth is 690-960MHz and 1440-2870MHz,which meets the requirements of LTE mobile communication.3.A capacitive coupled patch array antenna for 5G applications is designed in this paper.The bandwidth of the proposed antenna cover 24.86 GHz-30.16 GHz and 5.3 GHz,and it can meet the requirements of bandwidth at frequency of 28GHz in 5G communication.The array antenna has wide bandwidth,good gain and beam control effect,and has good application prospects.
