Research And Design Of Small Broadband Mobile Phone Antennas

Antenna is of an important device of a mobile phone,which determines the quality of mobile communication.The goal of mobile phone antenna design is to achieve miniaturization,cover multiple frequency bands,broadband.It's not easy to obtain wide bandwidth at lower band of LTE700.In this paper four novel slot antennas are proposed.(1)A mobile phone antenna with a combined shape slot is designed.One of the slots has a rectangle shape and the other one has a hybrid shape composed of a rectangle and a circle.The measured-6dB wideband covers 0.695-0.805 GHz,1.5-3.2GHz,4-15 GHz,which can cover LTE700/LTE2300/LTE2500/DCS1800/PCS1900/UMTS/GPS/WLAN and UWB upper band.(2)A mobile phone antenna with a rectangular slot is designed.The measured-6dB wideband covers 0.82-1.1GHz,2.15-3GHz,which can cover GSM850/GSM900/LTE2300/LTE2500/WLAN.(3)To increase the bandwidth at lower band,an asymmetrical C shaped strip is added at the top of the antenna,vertical to the system board.The measured-6dB wideband covers 0.73-1GHz,2.2-3GHz,which can cover GSM850/GSM900/LTE2300/LTE2500/WLAN.(4)With the aid of optimization of the design with C-strip,a chip capacitor is loaded.The measured-6dB wideband covers 0.7-1.2GHz,2.2-3GHz,which can cover LTE700/GSM850/ GSM 900/LTE2300/2500/WLAN.
