In recent years,mobile phones have played a more and more important role in people's life.The antenna used to receive and transmit radio waves affect the performance of mobile phones directly.The more functions of mobile phone and the maturity of the LTE standard bring great challenges to the major handset antenna manufacturers to bring better user experience and high-speed networks.The mobile phone antenna not only covers the 2G/3G frequency band,but also covering the 4G band;In addition,the user requirements for mobile phones also increased,such as thickness,occupying screen ratio and metal frame and other factors are within the user's consideration,which also increases the difficulty of mobile phone antenna design.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to be able to cover the cell phone antenna design in the 2G/3G/4G frequency bands.This thesis mainly focuses on the design of LTE mobile phone antenna.The main work is as follows:First of all,several important parameters of mobile phone antenna and antenna types commonly used in mobile phone antenna are introduced.Monopole antenna and PIFA antenna,and their respective advantages and disadvantages are compared.Besides,the commonly used miniaturization,wideband and multi-frequency Method are summarized,as the theoretical basis of this article.Secondly,a simple planar monopole LTE antenna is designed and researched.The antenna consists of only one planar monopole antenna,one L-shaped ground branch and a rectangular defected ground.The structure of this antenna is simple,so it is easy to process and mass production.Radiation directivity and gain have good omni-directional properties and meet the requirements of mobile phone antennas.The bands of S11<-6 dB is 690-980 MHz and 1630-2700 MHz,and the communication modes can covered LTE 700/GSM 850/900/1800/1900/UMTS 2100/LTE 2300/LTE 2500.Finally,five LTE mobile phone antennas with metal frame are designed and studied,and the internal antennas are in the form of microstrip patch antenna and microstrip slot antenna respectively.In the last antenna,the author combined MIMO technology with a metal frame antenna to increase the system's channel capacity.The directional and gain of the five antennas all meet the design requirements of the mobile phone antenna,which the band of S11<-6 dB covers the 690-960 MHz and 1710-2690 MHz bands.
