The development of society has brought the growth of information, and accordingly, the requirements for the information carrier are gradually improved.Coherent optical communication technology has many significant advantages, such as ultra-fast transmission rate, large transmission capacity, superior signal anti-jamming capability, which makes coherent communication become the development trend and research hot spots of the communications industry. The coherent communication system was composed of three basic parts:the transmitting terminal?the transmission link and the receiving terminal. The coherent receiver, which was the most important equipment in the receiving terminal, its performance affected the communication quality of the whole communication system. With the development of integrated optics, the integrated and miniaturized coherent receivers have gradually become the research direction in the field of high-speed coherent optical communication. This paper introduces the principle?function and performance of integrated coherent receivers, and then lists a design for the driver board. It is a power supply board, compatible with type1 package specifications, the function of this circuit is to drive the optical receiver module by controlling MPD and PD bias voltage, choosing AGC mode or MGC mode, supplying TIA power, adjusting output amplitude. The driver board is configured and monitored by the host computer software. The parameters of the optical receiver module and the mode selection are set to make the receiver module work at the best mode.At the same time, through real-time access tMPD current?TIA current?the output peak voltage and other data to monitor the receiver module working status. The drive board is intended for use in university research or laboratory research.
