A Comparative Study On The Publishing Of Tang And Song Genre Books

Leishu plays an important role in the history of the development of ancient Chinese culture and the history of publishing,it is also an important carrier of Chinese classical literature.Leishu is often voluminous and all-encompassing,and readers can meet their own needs from it regardless of their identity,status or reading purpose.From the time of Weiwen emperor's decree of compiling " Huanglan" to the Ming and Qing Dynasty,almost every stable dynasty would not hesitate to compile Leishu by means of manpower and material resources,and the development of Leishu has also experienced four stages which are generation,development,prosperity and decline.The two dynasties of Tang and Song that will be studied in this article are exactly the golden period of the development and prosperity of Leishu,and this is also a crucial time period for the development of Leishu.This article will take the status of the publication of Leishu in the Tang and Song Dynasty as an entry point to compare the differences of the publishing conditions of Leishu between the two dynasties,and explore deeper in the underlying causes of the differences between the two dynasties,so as to outline the development direction of leishu in the Tang and Song dynasty.The first chapter briefly explains the significance of the selected topic and the current research background and status,including the research results and direction of related topics of the scholars from the past and the present and the scholars on both sides of the Taiwan Straits.In the second chapter,the article first introduces and discusses Leishu and its definition.Because the definition of Leishu is different from ancient times,each scholar has its own different standards.Therefore,in order to explain to others,the article first enumerates the definitions and arguments of different authoritative books or experts for Leishu,then analyzes their respective definitions and arguments,and finally summarizes the basic characteristics of Leishu.After analyzing the definitions,the article separately introduces the publication situation of Leishu in the Tang and Song dynasty,and gives a brief description and enumeration of the publishing status(background,quantity,quality,etc.)of Leishu in both Tang and Song Dynasty.In the third chapter,I compare the objective conditions in the second chapter and find out the main differences of the publishing conditions of Leishu between Tang and Song Dynasty.The fourth chapter analyzes and thinks deeply about the differences found in the third chapter,then analyzes and explains the reasons behind the differences.The comparative study on the publishing status of Leishu clearly reveals the reasons for the maturity and development of Leishu in the Tang and Song Dynasty.This will inevitably contribute greatly to the comprehensive understanding and use of such literature genres.By tracing the development of Leishu in the Tang and Song Dynasty,it is also possible to show the unique status of the Tang and Song Leishu in the history of Chinese Leishu compilation and even in the history of publishing and civilization.
