With the development of technology,the people's safety requirement of privacy,property and information is urgent,and the demand for encryption technology and secure encryption chip would be higher.As one necessary part of the encryption technology,the requirement of the generation of the random number is more strict.After the theoretical research of the generation of the random number,a novel true random number generation which is based on the sampling by oscillator is proposed in this paper.The main work includes as follows:the architecture in this paper is tested feasible by MATLAB,the designs of oscillators of high frequency and low frequency,the bandgap are achieved successfully.One generation of pseudo-random number based on the LFSR is designed and there is a result that the feature of the random number is better when the sampling rate is slower;the scrambling high frequency clock with pseudo-random is achieved by controlling the current mode ring oscillator.A low frequency clock with high jitter is achieved by using relaxation oscillator,and true random factor of the jitter is joined into the pseudo-random processing of the high frequency clock to ensure the true random of the system.One bandgap is designed and it is compensated with two seconder by using the temperature characteristic of the threshold voltage of MOS,the compensated voltage is used as the reference voltage of the oscillators to improve the temperature performance and ensure the good randomness of the system.The improvement of traditional technology of the sampling by oscillator enhance the randomness and decrease the power of the system.The landscape is designed in UMC 0.5?m CMOS process.The results show that,the output bit rate of the new novel generation of the random number is 1 Mbps.The supply voltage of the chip is 5V,the area is 0.06?m~2,and the power consumption is 0.715mW.And the design passed the standard test of FIPS 140-2.
