Now it's the concept of “technology first” rather than “content is king” that is prevalent.While media technologies are changing and growing enormously,the geometric growth of transmission energy isn't coming as expected.As for the reasons,content producers and their products are decisive factors in making media influence.However,the Chinese Educational Review gets success deeply,owing to the richness of its contents which produced by the authors,especially the core ones.And therefore,this paper takes the authors,namely the key authors of the Chinese Educational Review as the main research objects,to find out some possible reasons for journal's success and provide a useful reference for today's media development by defining the relevant concepts of authorship group based on media's difficulties nowadays,combing their geographical areas,educational backgrounds and various activities before and after joining the magazine.Among the modern education journals,the Chinese Educational Review has the longest life span,the greatest influence and the most distinctive features and it's the model for the other newspapers and periodicals at that time.The core authors of the Journal are numerous and has two salient features in general:Firstly,their geographical distributions are uneven and of certain differences.Most of the core authors come from cities and regions with a richer economy and a higher level of openness,which provides many opportunities to get advanced culture,educational ideas and exchanges abroad.Meanwhile,as an important link of interpersonal relationships,the authors' geographical relationship connects their kinship and learning relationships,forming a complex network of relationships which plays a very important role in the introduction of core writers and the formation of geographical communities,etc.Secondly,their educational backgrounds are complex and generally high.Most of the core authors have rich knowledge on each realm and country,which then makes them be the leaders of the public opinion in the education and press circles.And therefore,their articles andbehaviors that explored education were highly professional and authoritative,which makes the Chinese Educational Review be a nationally renowned publication rapidly.In a word,there was a positive correlation between the journal's authors' educational backgrounds and its media influence.To sum up,throughout the history of the Chinese Educational Review,its unique model of the talent-building has been formed.Firstly,the managers are far-sighted and talented;secondly;secondly,it has formed the tradition of the introduction of excellent talents based on their blood,geographical and learning relationships;thirdly,it has established a modern talent echelon construction model featuring the cultivation of its own content producers.This talent construction model has provided many inspirations to the media industry today.For example,the media should optimize the structure of content producers to introduce and train the professional and compound talents;it's also necessary to establish a reasonable talent assessment and evaluation mechanism to stimulate their vitality;To manage media successfully,one had better be farsighted,capable and high professional,too.
